Yaya Toure is Arsene Wenger’s Latest Target

Arsenal coach, Wenger is said to be preparing a £12 million offer for Barcelona’s midfielder, Yaya Toure. However, in a bid to have the Toure brothers play alongside one another at the Emirates, Wenger may have to significantly increase his valuation following the 25-year-old’s impressive form in the Champions League.

Primarily a midfielder, Yaya’s performances with the European Champions this season have seen him adapt well to a role in central defence and could see him and his brother complete half of Wenger’s backline. And the younger of the two has made no secret of his desire to play with his older sibling.

“It’s true that it would be great to play for a big club with my brother, ” he told the Sun. “That would be fantastic but you never know.”

  8. I am still not convinced that yaya will go on an ARSENAL shirt because Wenger is always not buying but always debating.A t this point, we need experienced players like Yaya or we remain underarchievers. There are no two ways about it, NO EXPERIENCED SIGNINGS(INVESTMENT), NO TROPHY.

  16. I agree that A.W should bring in more experience player, if we ( Arsenal ) want to have a strong defence. J.Terry is the player we ( Arsenal ) should bring in with the experience he have, since chelsea is letting him go, why not bring him in to Arsenal ?

  18. my name is Job Meraba from Kenya I am still not convinced as to Why Wenger can not spend some reasonable cash to bring in experienced players the more you spend the more you bring for the club by winning more trophyies.we need experienced players like Melo or we remain underarchievers.   19. Its obvious wenger do not have cash to trade with,the board should be bold to tell the fans this truth. I don’t believe wenger is a miser,he only obey his employer policies though he shares them if not,he would have resigned.
    But wenger redeem your & arsenal image with some trophies this season. Other club fans are making jest of us.They call us ”kids club”.I feel humiliated with my friends comments atimes esp. chelsea and Man U fans. Chelsea are too arrogant with bad mouth.   42. arsene wenger please i am really sad about our exit from the champions league.i know that arsenal played good football but we lacked good finishers and poor defenders.i am not in the position of you coaching a club but plaese remember when you were appointed as the manager of arsenal in 1996 you bought good players like thiery henry who was a clinical finisher,emanuel petit,viera,dennis berghkamp, and other players which were really experienced.why was it that you won trophies with these boys even when manchestsr united was there.arsene wenger you are the best coach i have seen so far.people will say you are not the best coach because you have not won a trophy for five years. you are the best coach because you won the epl title unbeaten in a season in 2004.please bring the past to the present.
