Wenger Admits Brede Interest

Arsenal will not be pursuing their interest in the Internazionale midfielder Patrick Vieira, but Arsène Wenger is considering a move for the Fulham defender Brede Hangeland he revealed yesterday. Marouane Chamakh, however, is not an option unless Bordeaux lower their price.

Wenger is understood to be in the market for a new centre-back having sold Kolo Toure to Manchester City and Philippe Senderos expected to move to Everton. The pragmatic Frenchman has conceded he has been monitoring Hangeland, but insists he has made no official approach as he continues to consider other targets.

“We had a look at him, but we have not contacted Fulham, have not contacted Hangeland and have not made our choice on him or anybody else,” noted Wenger. Wenger said last week that he would make a decision on Vieira this week, and he was clear on the conclusion he had reached. “No,” he said, “not at the moment.”

I am so much in love with our coach. he is a man that loves youngsters and who wanna give chance to youngsters to show their talents. people should learn how to embrace such a coach. please coach i power to your elbow cos it isnt easy. also guys should try their possible best to give us some results please. i pray that injuries will not remember us this season. up Gunners for eternity.

  8. First of all gunner 4 life. Our match against man city was reali vexing,dnt know why wenger is keeping diaby on d pitch bcos he delays ball nd feels he can dribble. Pls find a replacement 4 him.
