Vela on the move to Xerez?

Arsenal starlet Carlos Vela is thought to be a major target for the goal-shy La Liga outfit Xerez, who hope to secure his services on-loan in January.

Xerez have been in truly awful form this season, gaining 1 point in 5 games and failing to find the net at all.

They are in urgent need of a goalscorer see the plucky Mexican international, as the perfect addition to their squad.

The 20-year-old spent 3 years in Spain after signing with Arsenal in 2005 due to work permit problems and had a reasonable first season with The Gunners that saw him score some delightful goals.

He’s a key part of the Mexican international squad and a move to Xerez would offer him the chance for some much needed first team action, even though it is something of a step down.

Vela has only just returned from a long term ankle injury, and was still not fully fit when he came of the bench to help the Young Gunners beat West Brom in the Carling Cup last Tuesday.

Xerez are currently ‘enjoying’ their first ever season in the Spanish top flight and they will be eager to snap up the attacker, who might just play a key part in then surviving the drop. A spokesperson from the club stated:
