Xabi Alonso And Fabregas

Arsenal will renew their interest in Anfield midfielder Xabi Alonso but will have to pay about £18m for the Spaniard. Liverpool coach revealed last year that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had held talks with the Merseyside club about a proposed switch for Alonso from Anfield to the Emirates Stadium. The move broke down because Arsenal not being willing to meet the £16million valuation of the EURO 2008 winner by Liverpool.

However, Arsene Wenger is aware of the need to add some experience and quality to the centre of the Gunners midfield. Wenger declaring recently that he wanted two players in the summer that have proven Premiership pedigree and is believed to be keen to pair Alonso with compatriot Cesc Fabregas at the North London side.

  16. Is good buy if A.W. can get Xavi Alonso to play along side with Fabregas, it will have a great inpac at midfield. Take Bendtner out and i believe we can have more goal if we can have Marcas Berg in. Gallas can’t partner with Kolo Toure, why not bring in Joleon Lescott who have the playing style of Tony Adam.

  17. A.W like to use young player that is know by everyone, since Sir A.W you really like to use youngster. Why don’t you concider of bring in M. Berg ? He ( M. Berg ) is the short striker like..Messi..Tevez…who always give defender alot of problem cos their heigh. I believe M. Berg is much more stronger then Bendtner. He ( Bendtner ) can’t even control a ball when is pass to him, always give the ball away and baloon when coming to one on one. Is very SAD to see a striker like him, wasting the team effort.
