Andrey Arshavin: It’s ‘Very Cool’ To Play With Fab

Andrey Arshavin was all smiles after Arsenal won the Emirates Cup, and has showered praise on his club captain, Cesc Fabregas. ”Cesc and I now understand each other better,” said Arshavin, speaking to Russian newspaper Sport Express.

“Arshavin said: “Cesc and I now understand each other better. To play with him is very cool. The main thing is that this must not be our last trophy this year.” The 28-year-old then reflected on the performance put out during the tournament, and on the team spirit that exists within the Gunners’ squadron.

“”The atmosphere in the team is very good. In general I was very pleased with the tournament. I liked that we went to the stadium at midday and there was plenty of time to talk closely. There was a lot of fun together and we don’t get the same chance at the training ground.” Having emerged victorious in the Emirates Cup, Arsenal will now play host to Valencia on August 8.
