AC Milan will renew their interest in Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor should they fail to lure Wolfsburg forward Edin Dzeko to the San Siro. The Rossoneri’s top summer target remains Dzeko but with Wolfsburg reluctant to sell last season’s Bundesliga’s top scorer, Milan may have to look elsewhere.

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger had to endure a summer of speculation 12 months ago, when Adebayor appeared open to the idea of a move to Serie A before the Frenchman talked him round. “If we fail to get Dzeko then (Sevilla striker) Luis Fabiano could be an alternative as could Adebayor.”

Milan have expressed an interest for Togo international Adebayor in the past, but Arsenal want to keep the 25-year-old striker. “We had a meeting with Wenger, but they didn’t offer him to us,” said Galliani.
